Shuttle buses run from the railway station every 20-25 minutes, and local buses are also available several times a day where Hakodate one-day bus pass can be used. The airport is small but has everything, including convenience stores, restaurants, currency exchange, delivery service, postbox, vending machines, lounge... a big souvenir shop on the second floor selling wide varieties of Hokkaido products. There are breaks for check-in service when there's no flight, so no need to get there too early ahead of the flights.

However, since you can rent a car at Shin-Hakodate Hokuto Station or Hakodate Station, it's easier for me to use the Shinkansen than a troublesome airplane when coming to Hakodate. Considering the trouble of going to Haneda, it is a choice of the Shinkansen. In terms of facilities, souvenir shops and restaurants are fully equipped. Even if you have more time before boarding, you can kill time accordingly.

Be fair, Hakodate Airport is a Domestic + Regional airport (serving nearby countries, it isn’t incorrect to labeled International). The facilities available are standard (Wi-Fi, restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops, children play area, massage services, washroom with automatic ‘washlet’ and etc.) and in good conditions. In the boarding area, there is a machine selling monorail ticket between Haneda > Central of Tokyo. Overall, this is not an excited Airport but functional.

It is convenient to buy various souvenirs, but I want to improve the clutter of the souvenir section. There are multiple stores and each one pays for them, but the products are lined up narrowly and it is difficult to tell how far they are from the same store. When I went to the cash register with a few items, I found that some products from different stores were mixed up and the store looked unpleasant.
